What’s it about?! – *Without burning*
After an unexpected breakup, An American Travel Executive (Amanda Riley) jumps on an assignment to Vietnam, where a free-spirited tour guide called Sinh would step out of her plan and tries to give her a real living experience in Vietnam to show her the country as it truly is.
Would the workaholic lady Amanda Riley would be able to step out of her comfort zone? what would happen when Sinh -the tour guide- knows the secret about her spontaneous trip? would that trip really give her a chance for a fresh start or a return point?
Does it Worth it?
if you’re into travel -and I suppose that- you would absolutely feel like you were transported away and experiencing the tour of Vietnam with them. I had no idea Vietnam was this vibrant and such a big tourist destination. I was used to hearing more about Thailand, Japan etc.
You would enjoy not only seeing the Vietnamese attractions but the culture too, and the vibrant colours displayed on the screen.
I actually paused the movie a little bit to get an idea of how much it would cost to go on a trip to that vivacious country.
Is the Story any Good?
As for the scenario, It’s a light warm-hearted romance but it is not so creative, I think the storyline wasn’t strong enough and lacked of depth, the dialogue was overly scripted, the plot was weak and the poor acting didn’t help either.
So, if you’re looking for a good romantic story that would catch your breath, it won’t be one of my best recommendations.
But on the bright side, the more less portrayed Vietnam so beautifully represented would fuel the tourism of the country in such a powerful way, I would give it 6.5/10.
