It has been such a long time since I wrote something. So, I decided it was time to get back on track again. I rarely commit to a routine and there was a time when I fully believed that it was impossible for someone like me to stick to a habit and commit to doing it every single day. Other than brushing my teeth and the humanly regular stuff. I am not a routine kind of person.
I remember falling down on DuolingoΒ streaks 9 times, It took me over two years back and forth on it, until one time I was on track for 18 days saved by multiple streaks freezes, and the one after was for 46 days hanged by 15 streak freezes, but I was so mad when I lost it as I wasn’t equipped with enough freeze streaks, so I returned back to zero that I gave up on it for some time. but reminding myself that this feature was no more than a way to sustain my goal and keep track of my progress and it isn’t a goal in itself, I kept getting back on again and again. Trying to exceed my last time streak every single time, and achieve my language level goal.
And today, I am finally on my 226 days! and I am on my way to the B2 level! Yaaaay!!
It is the first time in my life that I actually stick to doing something, and today I am making another decision to stick to writing, I know that it won’t be easy but I am sure now it’s not impossible either.Β
I am aware that the perfectionist part of me won’t be easy on me, but I’ll try to get away from it, reminding myself that I can always get back and edit at any time and that it is a truly perfect measuring unit for the development process of my writing skills.
