That’s the common statement that will be told to you on every mistake you make, That everyone learns by experience and it is very normal to make mistakes, you can’t learn easily and no one ever learns without making a few or more mistakes till he gets it.
But do we all really have to make all these mistakes!, Any mistake you have made, it must have been already done by hundreds before you and every problem you encounter, most probably has been dealt with million times before. You don’t really have to replicate all those again. If you are creative enough, you may create your own ones. 😄
Experience doesn’t always have to be gained through falling down and learning from our past mistakes. Maybe we can try to learn from the experience of others. If you are going to start on a project, most likely you will research to find out what are the steps that were taken before. You don’t need to reinvent the wheel, It would be more efficient if you just got to know where the work ends, and from there it would be yours to move on.
The same in life, you don’t always have to think for yourself to make some decision, maybe if you reach for others, you will find many who have fallen on the same spot in a way or another. It will be always yours to decide, but if 10 mistakes are deducted to 2 or 3 you overlooked, that would be much better. Whether you are an idle person like me or a fan of productivity, it will always be great to save effort, time and maybe money sometimes.
And if there is a straight way to get through that, You would simply have to go through the experience of others, It is documented somewhere in Books. Now, you’ll tell me that you already got to know many things through YouTube videos and your schedule of online courses, which are all directed by your footprints on the internet, but what you don’t seem to notice is that the most difficult situations in life are far from your algorithms fingers.
They simply can’t offer you insight on how to deal with it, unless you have encountered it before and most probably you didn’t.
I know that reading can be a heavy task for some people who are not used to it, but it’s not always have to be a 300-page book, it can be less than that and you can have it as an audio book, online magazines and blogs can be a great way too. I have got introduced to many new subjects through online journals and literary magazines, and instead of scrolling down to new posts quite similar to the previous ones, I find that one open tab leads to more open tabs and one open window gets to more open ones, and few random thoughts enlightens an idea or a new perspective, which in turn articulates a wider experience and a growing mindset.
And Now before you jump in and look for your new Experience, Make sure to choose it wisely! 😄
