I have always loved the happily ever after novels in which the goodness destroys the evil and I didnβt like the sad ending ones, it leaves me in a sad mode even if it can be sometimes more realistic, but the most hated ones at all times were the open ended, I didnβt catch out why on earth a writer could do something like that to an avid reader, why do I spend several hours with no meaning at all, what can I make a use of after all of that if there is no answer!, that makes no sense!, but the more I grew up the more I realize that the open ended stories can actually be the ones that make all the sense and can also be the ones which holds all the meaning, I came to figure out that the question marks sometimes are to be left open because it is really how it is, maybe if it ended for your character, it shall not reassure that it wonβt repeat itself in the daily life of an actual human character suffering in the same society, may be it hasnβt got an ending because it will remain to be an open subject for all time.
Maybe itβs all meaning lies in articulating a scene from a less wide angle, in raising up an exclamation! next to the question marks… about the forbidden, the ghettos, the minority, the silenced issues, about those who have no voice or lost theirs among the chaos of the outer world and those sophisticated ones that we unconsciously created beneath any logic barriers.
Maybe there is no answer because its beauty lies in the unlimited answers that can be signed to each oneβs perspective.
Maybe an answer wonβt have a meaning if the questions didnβt take their voice to be proposed.Β
